Hello all Sonoran Sky Families!

Below you will find a lot of important information to help you and your family ensure a smooth transition back to school.

School website has been changed: www.pvschools.net/sses Please delete any bookmark of the old address and bookmark this as the new school website.

PTO website: www.sskypto.com Please be sure to bookmark this address as a go to for information on activities and events at our school and surrounding community.

Review the Pick Up/Drop off Procedures – Click here to view the maps and how and where to drop off and pick up your students.

Enrichment Classes: Registration is being accepted for before and after school enrichment classes. Click here to view the catalog and download registration forms. Classes fill up quickly on a first come-first served basis.

School Supplies: Lists can be found at www.sskypto.com

Supplies will be available for sale at the Back to School- Meet Your Teacher event,

Wednesday, Aug. 10^th from 2 – 4:30 pm

***If possible, bring your supplies to school on Wednesday, August 10^th. It will be easier for your student(s) to have assistance with transporting the items into their classroom***

Class Lists: Class lists will be posted on Wednesday, August 10^th at 2 pm in the hallway near the cafeteria.

School Directory: We are working diligently to produce the directory as quickly as possible. If you have any changes or additions to the directory, please click here and let us know the changes.

New School Year Health Screening:

We need your help! Each year, all of the students at our school participate in a health screening for height, weight and vision. We need you! Yes, you – to help us on Monday August 15^th – 22^nd. For more details – click here.

Wednesday, August 10^th

• Back to School-Meet Your Teacher social
  • 2 – 3 pm Meet Your Teacher in their classroom!
  • 2:30– 4:30 Purchase lunch tickets in the cafeteria
  • 2:30 – 4:30 PTO celebration in Thunderbird Hall (cafeteria)
  • 3:15 – 4 pm New Family Orientation in the media center
  • Order t-shirts, sign up for Enrichment classes, Pre-order your directory and calendar, sign up to volunteer, and enjoy some donuts!

Thursday, August 11^th – Welcome Back to School

•  
  • First day of School – Practice Patience – Practice Safety – Remembers our Kids Safety is Priority
  • School begins promptly at 9 am.
  • Please be kind to our neighbors and park safely and legally in and around our school.
  • The parking lot drop off is for Kindergartners and their siblings only! All 1^st – 6^th graders should be dropped off in the 75^th St drop off curb.
  • Kindergarten parents – You and your kindergartners will enter thru the northern playground near Sweetwater Avenue.
  • 1^st – 6^th Graders – drop off is along 75^th street in the drop off lane – do not drop off outside of the drop off lane.
  • Don’t forget to bring a water bottle with you.
  • 1^st – 6^th grade will end at 3 pm. Kindergarten siblings pick up will be in the kindergarten pickup lane.

KINDERGARTEN PARENTS – YOU WILL STAY WITH YOUR CHILD TODAY THE ENTIRE DAY.  

KINDERGARTEN WILL BE RELEASED EARLY AT 1 PM.

 

Friday, August 12^th

• School begins promptly at 9 am.
• Please be kind to our neighbors and park safely and legally in and around our school.
• The parking lot drop off is for Kindergartners and their siblings only! All 1^st – 6^th graders should be dropped off in the 75^th St drop off curb.
• All Kindergarten parents are invited to our Boo-Hoo breakfast at 9:15 in Thunderbird hall. Enjoy meeting new Kindergarten families and PTO members.
• Kindergarten parents –Today is another early release day for Kindergartners only.                                 

 All Kindergarten students will be released at 1 pm.

• 1^st – 6^th grade will end at 3 pm. Kindergarten siblings pick up will be in the kindergarten pickup lane.
• WEAR YOUR SONORAN SKY T-SHIRT AND SHOW YOUR SCHOOL PRIDE!

 

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!

Monday, August 15^th

• School begins promptly at 9 am.
• The parking lot drop off is for Kindergartners and their siblings only! All 1^st – 6^th graders should be dropped off in the 75^th St drop off curb.
• Kindergarten parents – Today starts the regular full day for your Kindergartners. School will end at its’ normal time of 3 pm. Please pick up your Kindergartners in the Kindergartner parking lot at 3 pm.

Parent Orientation this evening for

5^th grade, 6^th grade and all Self-Contained classes

Please arrange for childcare so that you can attend the Parent Orientation to

discuss the curriculum with your teacher(s).

Below is the schedule for the evening

            5 pm – All Self-Contained Gifted in Media center

            5:30 – All 5^th Grade families in your classrooms

                        1^st-4^th grade Self-Contained Gifted in classrooms

            6:30 – 6^th grade meet in Thunderbird Hall and afterwards meet with your teacher in classrooms

 

Tuesday, August 16^th

• School begins promptly at 9 am.
• The parking lot drop off is for Kindergartners and their siblings only! All 1^st – 6^th graders should be dropped off in the 75^th St drop off curb.

Parent Orientation this evening for

Kindergarten, 1^st thru 4^th grade

Please arrange for childcare so that you can attend the Parent Orientation to

discuss the curriculum with your teacher(s).

            5:30 – 6 pm – Pull-out Honors & Resource

            6:00-6:40 2^nd & 3^rd Grade in classrooms

            6:45 -7:25 Kindergarten, 1^st & 4^th in classrooms

• Sonoran Sky Pride – Wear a Sonoran Sky t-shirt and show your school spirit!
